WILL YOUR WORN HANDS BE SEEN?
Jeremy Beggs returns with Worn Hands, a powerful follow-up to his acclaimed single I Just Wonder. Once again, Beggs taps into the quiet resilience of everyday life — exploring what it means to keep standing when the world keeps knocking you down.

Co-written with Joel William Harrison through the APRA 3,2,1 program during COVID (3 hours, 2 writers, 1 song), Worn Hands was born from a shared love of family, melody, and honest songwriting. The title emerged from a simple warm-up exercise and quickly bloomed into a raw reflection on the ways we carry ourselves through life — trying, failing, and hoping we’re seen for who we are.

“My role in past co-writes had mostly been melody-based,” Beggs shares. “But this one sparked immediately — we just followed the thread together and watched the song unfold.”

Worn Hands doesn’t pretend to solve life’s struggles. Instead, it acknowledges them. It nods to the exhaustion, the effort, the invisible labour — and holds space for the quiet hope that meaning and fulfilment will come.

Backed by his long-time band The Long Road Travellers, Beggs is at his expressive best. Ross Tweeddale, Craig Ditchfield and Dan West lay down a steady, grounded groove, while Ash MacLean adds shimmering textures on pedal steel and baritone guitar. Ross and Craig also lend lush backing vocals, bringing light and lift to a song that balances grit with grace.

Jeremy Beggs is an Americana singer-songwriter from Ballarat. His music blends alt-country storytelling with emotional grit. A familiar name in Australia’s community radio scene, Jeremy’s last singles received airplay and critical support from ABC Country, Country HQ, Sunburnt Country Music, PBS and 2SER.
